Rainy Day turned productive!

What a rainy day around here!  I felt like all I wanted to do was go back to bed!  Ever have those days??  Well, I decided that I couldn't be a lazy bum all day so I got creative instead.  This is CTMH's newest paper line called 'Grace'.  I didn't like this paper at all until I started working with it and no I LOVE it.  WOW! you just never know how something is going to look until you play with it.  We will be doing this layout and these cards for club on Sunday.

It is hard to see but I love the stitching done with waxy flax and the flourish stamps turned into hearts.  My absoulute favorite is the faux ribbon technique.  I have taken a small strip of pattered paper and then folded it to make pleats.  The result is w32wthis cute look.  So very easy to do and the results are amazingly cute!  Go try it -you'll love it too!

I think you can see the ribbon folding technique on the Left card a lot better. Also it is very hard to see on either the layout or the cards  but I have used my piercing tool to add some little 3 dot clusters various places as well as just pierced a straight like as if I were stitching.  It is the details that really make artwork and I'm all about the details! Other embellishments that I used were the Rustic edge anchors, basic buttons, and crystal blue waxy flax.

My club is open and you are able to join at any time and still receive the benefits of being a hostess.  Contact me if you'd like to be a part!  Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.

If you like my blog or love me :) *wink* then sign up to be a follower and receieve an email update when I have posted something new!

Happy Day!

CTMH open house - a success!

Love having my CTMH friends over for a fun filled afternoon playing with all things CTMH!  I got to show everyone the new Fall/Winter catalog along with all the new products.  My favorite part was telling everyone about the new Studio J.  I am so darned excited about this - I can hardly wait for them to release it for us consultants to play with.  Sometime this fall YIPPEE!!  This new program is going to revolutionize our scrappin'.  No more excuses about time.  With Studio J everyone will be scrapping no matter how what!!! Check out the video here. www.studioj.com

Anyway, here is what we did for a create n takes today! The 1st one is a little treat/candy holder.  Got one of these at my seat when I went to convention and thought that everyone should have one.  It holds the little individual Girhardelli chocolate squares - one on each side - mmmm!

The next one we did was a little Christmas ornament.  Both made using the new Jingle paper!  Love it!  Using a coaster as the base we covered this baby, added a photo mat and used the AWESOME new Glitter Rub-ons for bling.  These are soooo cool you have got to try them.  The picture doesn't do them justice but all you do is rub the glue on and then use the glitter sheets to make the image 'pop'.  Enjoy!

09/09/09- A very Special Day!

I've been wanting to get back to my blog and finally I decided that today the very special day that won't happen again for another century would be just the day to do it! So 09/09/09 has come and gone. It was a great day! Wow, to live in such a time as this. Not because it is statistically a neat day but because God has appointed us for this day and time! We are so blessed to live in this great country admist all the junk around us.

I have also been able to get a bit of creatin' in lately between gymnastics and staying up late.

Here is what I have created! Hope you enjoy it!

I used the CTMH 'You're a Hoot' stamp set along with the new Twitterpated paper. I think it turned out cute! I could have bling'd it up a bit more but it is for the Grace crop and can't have too much going on for time sake.

New Office!

Today was a great day!!! I have had my own office/scrapping space for years but got a new one when we moved to our new house. It has just been a total wreck since moving and not very efficient. Well, I took me a trip to IKEA last week and bought all new office furniture. How cool is that? My husband really spoils me and God blesses me above anything I could ask or imagine. My parents have been over since Easter so dad helped me put the shelving and the desk together on Monday. It looks so nice now to have things clean and in order. I have lots still to do but I am happy with how it is turning out and can't wait to get it all finished. I now have a creative space where I can display my Zebra fun-ness! YEAH!!!

Anyway I don't have a picture just yet but hope to tomorrow night. I hope I can figure it out since the whole blogging thing is new to me. Bear with me and do come back soon!
